Cream Cheese Frosting


16 ounces cream cheese

8 ounces butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pound of powdered sugar



Let the cream cheese and butter come to room temperature. Using the whisk attachment on an electric cake mixer. Mix the butter and cream cheese until well blended. Add the vanilla extract. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low until well combined. Once the powdered sugar is blended in, turn the mixer up to high power and let it mix the frosting for 5 minutes. This is crucial to getting a light and fluffy frosting.
