Rosé wines are made from black grapes. They can range from subtle to bold. The third and fourth wines below are both more on the bold end of the spectrum. The first two are easy drinking, but also lovely.
Chevalier de Lafoux Sainte Anne Rosé Cotes De Provence
Total Wine $12.99
This easy drinking wine has aromas and flavors of fresh strawberries. Perfect for a hot summer afternoon. The bottle has a cool shape too.
Giardino Pinot Grigio della Venezie Rosé
Trader Joe’s $7.99
This wine is technically not a rosé . It is made from Pinot Grigio, which is a white grape, albeit it has a blush hue. To achieve this color, the wine was fermented on its skins. While it's a lighter wine, it certainly has flavor and character.
Reserves des Chastelles Tavel Rosé
Trader Joe’s $11.99
Tavel is an appellation from the southern Rhône. Tavel rosé wines are much deeper than typical rosé wines. They drink almost like light reds.
Zlatan Rosé
Breaux Mart $17.99
This wine is 100% Plavac Mali, which is a parent of Tribidrag, known as Zinfandel or Primitivo, outside of its native country of Croatia. This is also not a whimpy rosé.
